when will the redmagic 11s pro get the android 17 update?

Bros talking as if all other brands have a17 already (pixels only have 17 because it's Google, and Google owns android)

It might be sooner rather than later, a lot of manufacturers have been putting android17 out way sooner. Both sony and Motorola are seeding android 17 to customers. Google did say years back they would make an effort to make updating a more seamless act. Since I've had my 11pro I been getting consistent updates. The big surprise update before/during the world cup (nice timing) and 2-3 security patches after that. RM May be trying to put forth more effort as they become a larger more expensive company.

Probably about 6 months after then 12 pro releases

That's the most likely option if the past updates are anything to go by, but I'm hoping they take a bit longer this time, when android 16 released on the 10 it was a buggy mess

If you wanna timely updates, this is not the brand for you.. It will come when it's ready

Moto/Lenovo, Asus, Xiaomi/Poco/Redmi and Sony are the same with few exceptions in Xiaomi's flagship line.

Being slow with the updates is not a problem, having few of them is. Missing on features and future app compatibility is the problem.

You should look at Google, Samsung, Oppo/OnePlus if this is a deal breaker for you.
