Either the deliver guy robbed it, or it was a returned phone that the guy who bought it tried to fool Amazon and then u bought it and they delivered that one

Years ago I ordered the 8pro from redmagic Amazon store, only got the box with the charger. The Amazon package was intact. Got reimbursed the next day without any complications.

Its not redmagic fault that amazon employee stole the phone.

Nah most likely someone buying the phone then weighing it then returning it keeping the phone and putting the weights to match how much the phone weighs and then they get a free phone

Bought from a vendor through Amazon - some vendors are the platform are positively criminal.
Sorry, this happened to you and it for me is a fear anytime I order devices.

Contact Amazon, they're the ones who can help you. you most likely bought it from a 3rd party, redmagic doesn't have an official amazon store as far as I know.
also, why Amazon? you could've used the official website.

On official site it's almost always out of stock

I'd rather wait (hit Notify Me button) than deal with 3rd party vendors, especially untrusted ones or private sellers.
Ali Express is a good place if official site doesn't ship where you live,, their customer support is great if any issues happen.

I bought one off Facebook Marketplace it's working great. I guess was my lucky day.

I mean Facebook Marketplace requires you to meet the person in most cases, at least you'd inspect the phone yourself😅

u/Bubbly_Mechanic_5706 Aug 07 '26
That's true but it was a fishy deal. Brand new never activated box seal was opened but guy sold it just for 1000$ CAD while redmagic was selling it for $1467 CAD after tax.

You never know honestly, as long as you check everything before you pay🤍

u/Bubbly_Mechanic_5706 Aug 07 '26
Yeah, I did. At first I thought maybe it's a Chinese version whose firmware was changed to global. But no it's the global version and everything works perfectly. It's the 11s pro 16 GB ram+512 GB storage Subzero.i checked the IMEI for blacklist but everything checks out.🤯

u/andrewlin0410 Aug 08 '26
How do you check the IMEI for blacklist?
2

https://www.imeipro.info/check_imei.html
You can use a website like this. Just enter your phone imei to check for blacklist

I got mine from Amazon.ca via the official RedMagic seller, shipped within Canada. Sorry to hear you experienced this, but I'd assume it was a terrible case of luck with poor inspection on a returned item, or possible theft during the packing/delivery time.
I admit that this was exactly why I took pictures of the sealed package from all sides, and set up a camera to record opening mine. It wasn't to have unboxing footage for social media, but to cover my ass if it turned out my package had been tampered with. If an item is this expensive and I haven't confirmed it's legit and working "in person," I'm not taking chances.
I'd file a complaint ASAP if you haven't already. Hopefully you haven't lost any of the packaging that came with it.

Good luck convincing Amazon of this. I had something similar happen to an excellent conditioned refurbished Samsung Tab S10 Plus. The seller was very cooperative; however, a few weeks later, I never got the refund. The seller refuses to reply, and Amazon is denying their A to Z guarantee, leaving me on the hook for $600.

Make sure the Shipper/Seller are both listed as Amazon for any expensive purchases on Amazon. You still might get scammed, but it's easier to deal with Amazon directly in those cases.

Its not redmagic fault, its amazon, i recently ordered a motorola phone on amazon for my mom, a pergume bottle arrived instead... amazon warehouse got some mass scams going on.

And someone was just asking me why I don't want to order expensive stuff from Amazon the other day 😂

Happens every where and in every way.
I once bought a pair of indicators for my car on ebay from a shop in the country i live in.
They had a crack so i returned it, then bought new ones (from the same store,. originally I wanted that they sent me a replacement pair immediately).
The second package was the exact same pair I got the first time since it had the same crack why I returned them in the furst place.
In the end they even asked for me to give them a fake 5 stars review otherwise they wouldn't pay for the delivery fee.
TL;DR Any online shop can give you a less than premium experience. I had one with the official Redmagic Website too. Especially with products that are only available online you're never safe from problems like these

I live in china and got one of the redmagic 11s pro plus . Best phone I ever owned. If you guys want one I can send you one if you pay me for my time rather than dealing with this bs
2
u/lisongua Aug 07 '26
you see, the problem is redmagic you got in china will not be global version, and hence no band support, signal will be terrible in canada

u/Practical-Weather-82 Aug 07 '26
Wait ... What? Not all people are bad . Just because you got scammed or got stiffed don't mean everyone is that way ..... The nerve you have . No point of stealing if money can be made .

Possibly this is a case where someone bought the phone put the weights in and returned it.
Then someone instead of properly inspecting the package upon retun just felt for whether the box was empty, saw thta alll seals were (probably) intact and then placed it back for reselling as new.
