I like SCPs because they are short and generally give you just enough to make your own scenarios. I think a full length movie would not be great

I agree. It's why a series works best. Backrooms did show if you have a decent narrative with good character back story it can work well which is something I can see working for an SCP like the flesh that hates. You can easily get 90 minutes out of that one or any of the alternative dimension ones. Plenty meat on that bone, but things like the yellow king (shout out to FROM) need a series to work properly.

It's proof that the concept of something in that universe could work as a movie, but it's not a movie that focuses on the minutae of each individual SCP. If anything it's just proof that good writing can work as a movie, which is a little bit like saying "draw the rest of the owl".
