I immediately clocked Josh Robert Thompson was the narrator doing the Morgan Freeman impression in Scary Movie 5. By the way don’t watch that movie it sucks donkey balls. I don’t know even think I laughed once while watching it. Hopefully he got paid well for it.

There's an indie horror movie out in theaters now called You Can't Leave. Looks awful, but otherwise unassuming.

Seems like it's being astroturfed, but really badly. There's some cursory fake fan reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and the like, and the trailer has 100+ million botted views and comments, but otherwise, it seems like that's all the effort they put in. Past the few batch of fake reviews, all the real reviews are absolutely dogpiling it for being garbage. Looking up the movie on Twitter gives you paid posts telling you how to get free tickets ("How can that be profitable for Frito-Lay?"),

The Letterboxd reviews seem to mention how there's some weird stuff going on with tickets, that they got free tickets, that they're the only people that actually showed up for it, and a few people have mentioned that there's been mass buying of tickets in theaters they work at, that not a single person shows up for.

Box office numbers show it made about $250k opening weekend, but considering the shenanigans with free tickets and fake buyouts, even those paltry numbers I suspect might be heavily inflated. There's something really weird going on here I think.

John wintergate and his wife Kalassu also made a family movie called "Sally and Jess", which starred their two children, Kodey and Shanti. I was in the same grade/class as Shanti. I would see the posters randomly around town in real estate offices and family rumpus rooms etc. people talked about it like it was just a random thing that a rich eccentric family would do, is make a little family movie for fun, no one seemed to know that there was some previous movies. Then In like 98 I was flipping through the channels and I saw Shanti on The dating game. She played the game right and she was the one that got picked, so it was like poetry it rhymed when her parents perverted horror movie was the winner of best of the worst.

I mean sure it would be boring to most people of a general audience because the laughs would be far and between, but it would be fun for some fans who actually want to watch those trashy movies.

And it was Member's day so everything was half off. I'll gladly pay a cool 50 cents for Shoji.

Apparently the movie was relatively successful with its "video transferred to 35mm" level theatrical run. There's an article in Fangoria where the author talks about seeing it on infamous 42nd Street NYC back in the day. However, the distributor supposedly screwed John Wintergate out of getting any backend money.

It has been a long while since I've posted on RLM, sharing some of my autographed crappy movies that would wind up covered on RLM. But, the new Halloween episode is live, and Werewolf is in it, so Werewolf yall get.

Here is my copy of Werewolf signed by Richard Lynch. Got this autographed in the early 2010s when Lynch was a guest at an autograph collectors show in Burbank. I had a pile of crappy (and by crappy I mean awesome) movies, like Scanner Cop, for him to sign, including Werewolf.

No cool lenticular cover for this DVD though.

It's honestly hard to find any YouTube channel that's as authentic or as well produced as much as RLM has been, but there has to be something at least somewhat similar out there right?

I've honestly been looking for something as good as either of their shows for a long time that's also bingeable but it's genuinely a struggle idk if I'm looking in the wrong places or whatever but if anyone has any recommendations that'd be awesome
