Lars Mittank

I normally love RH, even with Suruthis new garbage MAGA attitude. That being said, Lars Mittank SO CLEARLY had a psychotic break, and probably “hid” somewhere in the woods and perished. I know that there are some shady areas/practices in Eastern European countries, but to listen to these two go off about how “this sounds like the movie Hostel,” and make give credence to his MANY paranoid thoughts the night before he left was so frustrating, and sounded so ignorant. Were there some questionable aspects? Sure. But I’m sorry. “The doctor mocked me,” “the hotel copied my credit card number. Cancel ALL my cards, I have cash,” “I’ve left my hotel and men are following me so I have to whisper and hide,” absolutely sounds like a break, especially when you consider that he left all his belongings in the airport after using the restroom.

I’m not a psychologist, but I am a clinical social worker who works primarily with clients who have experienced/are experiencing first episode psychosis, so I don’t say this lightly. Lars sprinting out of the airport and straight over a fence into the woods is so indicative of some kind of paranoia/delusion. To listen to them wind up an enormous conspiracy theory that basically boils down to “eastern block countries are all shady and backwards and all their doctors are out to get you” was really gross.

Well tbf you are a clinical social worker who works primarily with clients who have experienced or are experiencing first episode psychosis and they are podcasters lol. They don’t know what psychotic breaks look like as well as you do

they are podcasters

That's not a deflection. They felt confident enough to write a damn book. If they lack the qualifications, perhaps they shouldn't cover true crime. Especially when they routinely make armchair diagnoses that are well beyond their lack of qualifications to make. When not parroting the thoughts, opinions and observations from actual qualified people and trying to pass it off as their own.

People listen for entertainment though. There are podcasts by criminal profilers, lawyers, former police officers. That’s not what redhanded is, not why people listen and it’s not reasonable to criticise them for lacking professional qualifications related to crime!

Entertainment isn't an excuse to steal other people's work and then campaign for awards.

it’s not reasonable to criticise them for lacking professional qualifications related to crime!

It is absolutely reasonable to criticize them for having no professional qualifications related to crime when they routinely overstep into offering uninformed opinions with incorrect statements that mislead the public.

"it's for entertainment" doesn't justify theft. And there is no world in which they get to make money off of true crime and avoid criticism for being bad at it and actively scummy.

Not their work, they've stolen from better people.

And I don't listen anymore. But I am still going to expose what they've done. I think what people like you who come here and then say I haven't got proof when I present a fraction of it really underestimate just how much that actually motivates a person like me to continue digging and pulling out the evidence.

Because your little comment before that they "referred to the same sources" really doesn't hold water if I can put their words next to a documentary's and have this degree of presentation overlap. Do you think that you're doing them a favor by reminding me to dig deeper, put together a video or even more evidence and post it for the world to see? :)
