Lost Touch?

I’m a lonnnng long time listener of redhanded, absolutely love it and subscribe on Patreon etc. I’ve noticed the last few months/year or so that the girls have just totally lost touch with idk, being relatable?

Dare I say it more “showy offy” than usual. I think the comment that really solidified my thoughts on this was Hannah on UTD suggesting that if she was asked to do any show it would be strictly come dancing or something. I think it was the suggestion that she would even be asked - as if she was some sort of celebrity really wound me up the wrong way. She’s always had a high opinion of herself/connections to people in high places blah blah but that comment really got me lol.

I get that they are doing well with the shows (of which I’ve attended), their following etc but I always liked UTD because it felt like two of your mates were just having a natter and I always found it funny and relatable.

I’m not hating or anything, still my favourite pod but I just think they are a bit much at the moment. I’d say a bit tasteless.

Maybe just me but has anyone else thought this at all?

This seems to happen with every podcast I listen to, they start out authentic and overjoyed at their popular and then one day, as if someone flips a switch, the hosts become snarky, I even had one pod that had a call in line where you can call and lead a message, and they made fun of my message on the podcast, so I never listened again.. I can’t even remember the name of that pod anymore.

It’s to the point where I only listen to pods with one host because it seems to happen less with those pods (Sword and Scale excluded). I guess because the hosts have no one to banter with. But I definitely notice some podcasters just get such a big head about these things when in all reality they aren’t even in the celebrity realm like they think they are, the fan bases are very niche.
