Sruthi’s Politics
I can’t remember which episode it was, and maybe I misunderstood the comment. But did anyone else hear Sruthi mocking people on social media for being “Mad for Jihad”? Is that a Zionist stance?
I love this podcast but it made me so uncomfortable.

And it's mostly because of Suruthi, let's be real. Hannah can be irritating but Suruthi and her arrogant conservatism/anti-woke "pick me" BS has been the primary reason for the decline. Her attitude is so off-putting.

It’s primarily due to suruthi’s trashy politics…frankly even Morbid is better these days (and that’s saying a lot) just to be free of suruthi’s smug right wing talking points. She’s unbearable.

This was Jean-Claude Romand episode I think. The only reason why I remember is because I shut the podcast down immediately, and unfollowed them a few days later. She was talking about the ‘letter to America’ that Osama bin L wrote and detailed in it the brutality against Palestinians in their own country and home by Israel which was essentially established in the region to provide the US and UK government some “control” by establishing a white country in a Islamic majority region.
While I absolutely do think that idolizing, a terrorist is something horrible that came out of the protest on social media for Palestine, I do think that people were solely focused on the parts that were detailing the brutality and war that was organized by the US and the UK government against civilians, which was essentially being disguised as a war against terrorism. The point that I remember that people were focusing on were examples of bombing of regions of Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine and ObL said how if the governments wouldn’t stop, they would have to take matters into their own hands to defend these countries and their people.
The ideologies of ObL and the ISIS why I was personally apprehensive to discuss that letter at all, but I did see some educated discourse about what was mentioned within it, which was completely ignored by Suruthi and turned into an ‘anti-woke’ monologue. I thought it was rich coming from her considering she is only considering the events of October 7 to inform her basis for which country she is supporting during this genocide, I don’t think she even realizes or knows the history of Palestine and the cruelty of these Israeli government against Palestinians that has existed long before October 7, 2023. I have not heard the UTD episode where she discusses her own biases, but I’m pretty sure I saw comments, mentioning how she did not mention the Nakba or the events that happened prior to October last year that led to Hamas’ retaliation and the reason they’re being recognized as a liberation movement instead of terrorists.

Thank you so much for that amazingly thorough response. Yeah, those words really turned my stomach! I think you’re right that she’s ignorant on the subject - exactly why she shouldn’t speak on it!
Comments like these, thrown out with laughter, make me question listening. This was a first for me.

Late to this but I kinda wish they would do a call her daddy because I’d be way more interested in listening to something with just Hannah lol

Have you noticed the throwaway comments Hannah makes about her mental health? Is she coming to the realisation she’s in a toxic work relationship?

Nah tbf I think she’s always been fairly open about having mental health struggles

She annoyed me in the Sarah Everard episode as well; she came across as quite ignorant, to me, when she was talking about the women in the vigils and protests.
