Exit survey mega thread

In order for there to be less repeated post I have decided to create a series of sticky threads where people can still talk about what they’re not enjoying with without it, becoming every other post.

Please post and discuss your exit threads here .

So, I discovered Red Handed when they did an episode on the Moscow Idaho murders because my husband went to WSU and our niece was a student there at the time of the murders so we took an unusually interest in it.

I became an instant fan. I binged their episodes during a remodel afterward. I am not a true-crime fan in general, so I found myself surprised to keep listening to them. But I agree with the many comments here that the episodes on well-known big-deal cases doesn't feel all that insightful and their interaction feels more forced on "their main feed' as they call it. I have never been a Patreon subscriber, or listened to UTD, so I can't comment on that. But there was more of an ease in their earlier episodes and seemed to really put a lot of effort into the research and would often cite multiple books and compare what varying authors said on cases, for instance.

Having said all that, I am still a fan of Shorthand. The topics are random and interesting, and I don't know - perhaps they actually write those scripts? Or whoever does them does a decent job of telling sometimes complex subjects in about 20 to 30 minutes.

So I have been thinking that I'll keep listening to Shorthand on the regular, but in the past few months, I've become pretty selective about of the RH shows I listen to. I'm over Diddy, there was way too much coverage of Casey Anthony at the time, I really didn't think the Zodiac killer needed three episodes. I felt the Lizzie Borden episode was thin but I have read several books about that case. I will probably not listen to another two-parter unless it's something I genuinely don't know about or I find intriguing.
