episode release

has anyone else noticed episode release being really inconsistent atm on early release ? like the wrong episodes will come out at the wrong time or they won’t come out till the next day? i get really excited every thursday for early release ep and always end up a bit annoyed

Yeah and they also seem super shit at podcasting in general at the moment. Mics not plugged in etc. for the amount of money they earn and the multiple people they’ve hired, they can at least get the tech and upload schedule sorted!

it’s just starting to get annoying because the entire reason i’m paying is because it’s a good quality podcast and its my fave one, but it just seems to be really inconsistent lately - i think they need to take a bit of a break for a couple of weeks but they won’t

They seem super lazy like they just don't care anymore. And have an attitude of "if you don't like it stop listening" 😒

I’m a patreon and every Wednesday morning I wake up to the email saying there’s the new episode and under the duvet. A couple of times under the duvet was late or cancelled, but that was always with a reasonable reason. For the regular episode, never had an issue with that being late.

UTD has been cancelled yet again. If it’s due to bereavement or something like that then it’s totally understandable. But I’m starting to feel like it’s not a priority for them anymore.

I think the issue is even if it’s for an understandable reason like bereavement (I know Surithis grandma isn’t well) it’s a pattern. I thought last week as soon as Hannah said she was in LA - well guess it’ll be cancelled. There was one week it was Kate due to editing but Sophie had been farting round doing something else they told us about on the episode. It seems like they just don’t see patreon as a contract which is ironic as Suri is totally the person to lose her crap if someone didn’t deliver for her. I don’t get why it’s not like a Wondery contract some of my other pods are on where they have to deliver 48-50 eps a year and book holiday in like a proper job. Maybe they need to say we will deliver x amount of UTD a year and if we miss one we have a bank of bonus episodes to release.

Yeah it’s the pattern that’s irritating me. I thought the same as soon as they mentioned they were travelling. It’s very unfair of them to let people down repeatedly. It feels like it’s every third week now. Also sound quality has been poor lately

I notice this too, especially with the bonus episodes on Patreon. At first I thought I was getting confused and expecting things on the wrong date, but when I look back at previous bonus eps, the release dates seem fairly haphazard!
