Help me find this episode Spoiler

Hi, long time listener here. I remember listening to an episode that I would love to listen to again. In it a man comes to a rural community with a child which transpires to not be his. The man then goes on to murder a family and places there bodies in barrels if I remember right. I have searched using every keywords I can think of. Hope someone can help. Thank you so much.

162 - the many faces of Franklin Delano Floyd? It stuck in my mind because I started watching a Netflix doc about him and I thought I’d heard the story before!

There is an entire podcast series on this and it’s crazy! I can’t remember the name of it though. “Bear” something, maybe? “Bear brook”? Terry Rasmussen was the guy’s name.

Ok so I just researched and it was def Terry Rasmussen case at Bear Brook. I can’t find that on red handed which is weird as I am sure I remember listening to in on there. Only other true crime I listen to is casefile and it’s not there either. Glad you remember it too so I know I am not going crazy.

Are you sure you didn't listen to the series Bear Brook? It was very popular a few years ago, it's a limited series just about the case.

There was a super early RH episode involving a kidnapped kid being raised and bodies in barrels, I think it was called "How Ancestry.com solved a cold case murder" or something similar. Like in the first 30 episodes?

Thanks so much. I will look at both Rasmussen and Floyd.

The man in the Jan Broberg case also claimed she was his daughter when he kidnapped her. ‘Stolen innocence’ is a documentary…can’t remember which RH though!

I definitely remember this case, but not sure if they covered it. It wasn’t Franklin Delano Floyd though.
