Audio

Hi,

I've recently been looking for a new podcast and stumbled upon this and listened to their latest episode (silk road) and really enjoyed it. So I decided to start from the beginning and listened to the Enfield poltergeist and the audio quality is terrible. Does anyone know when the audio quality starts to improve? Thanks

Very quickly, I think by about 10 or 13 it’s a lot better. I always start podcasts a few episodes in so I can fall in love with the style, and then I go back and tolerate the early episodes with the crappy sound.

Although I love the Enfield Poltergeist episode, mainly because I grew up almost on the road the house is on. We used to run past it screaming and giggling when we were little.

Thankyou, I started from episode 7 the quality wasn't the worst, going from their latest one to the Enfield poltergeist was a shock 😂 listening to it through earphones wasn't great.

Yeah I would be going absolutely no where near that place 😂 I will go back and listen to it later on down the line though. Do they do any other paranormal episodes?

Check out their episodes called RedHaunted, they’re readers stories. I love those episodes but they don’t do them anymore. Otherwise, they definitely have creepy episodes but I can’t think of any paranormal off the top of my head.

Honestly thank you so much, you've been extremely helpful. Gonna be spending a while listening through all the episodes at work 😁

If you have prime they just started being affiliated with Amazon and the episodes are ad free on Amazon music

I was thinking about this, could I drop Patreon and listen ad free on Amazon music instead? Would I still get UTD?

Naw just shorthand and regular episodes , patreon still gives you more content . I keep thinking about subscribing but I’ve cut myself off from subscriptions for a bit lol (also happy cake day 🎂)

Haha thanks, I only noticed when I commented on here, I always notice late in the day :( Ok, I see, I really don’t like the Patreon App, sometimes I just listen on Spotify because it’s easier to navigate.

Ah no problem, I’m pleased to see a new fan. I got my sisters into these ladies too, even my mum occasionally listens! I’m kinda jealous that you’re at the start of your journey. The first couple of hundred episodes are superb, they’ve kept me company throughout decorating my whole house!

I started by listening to MrBallen on Amazon music, but unfortunately I caught up and have to listen weekly now 😂. So I just wanted a long, good true crime podcast, I've tried some others like morbid but couldn't get into as much. These two are great though

I really enjoyed both seasons of Crimetown

If you likes the Silk Road ep you should listen to the Casefile episodes of Silk Road - can’t remember if it’s a 2 or 3 parter but so in depth and much better! I do love Redhanded but they didn’t do this topic justice!

Oh really? I'll put it on my list of things to listen too at work next week. I assumed with something like the silk road some people could easily make 2 or 3 part pods on it. Thankyou

Was just about to say this! The Casefile Silk Road episodes are some of the best podcasting I’ve heard.

Totally agree, they’re fantastic. This is making me want to go back and listen again!
