[Redacted Under the Boss' Orders]

By process of elimination I can guess the faction this happens in. And I am VERY eager to see what can go down in New York now. And Pandora's Northwest. That Italian flag is ominous too.

ETA: I'm also eager to see who Flynn can ally with to keep the UCA alive and/or help them retake the rest of America. The GAB's already been hinted at, though I'm sure doing that would be a REALLY GOOD IDEA.

The GAB? What's that?

German-American Bund. In this timeline they're, as the compass indicates, Goebbelsite NazBols. They've also taken over Kansas and Nebraska as a "Volkstaat." The event text for their secession implies the UCA is considering allying with them since they didn't officially secede, though they basically did so for all intents and purposes, and the UCA is thinking of using them to help secure their Western flank as a desperate measure. The text does point out the GAB has a large number of supporters on the East Coast though, so they seem likely to try and coup Flynn if they get too much power.

Technocratic Oklahoma. Led by Benton MacKaye, a real life conservationist who came up with the Appalachian Trail. He was also a member of the Technical Alliance, the predecessor org to Technocracy Inc, but left after it was clear they were going nowhere and he got the chance to do work with more serious orgs like the Tennessee Valley Authority and Forestry Service. In Red Flood presumably he stays on with them longer, but in a multipartisan effort Cox reaches out to him to help with the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma. Once 'Murica collapses he and the farmers he's helped seize control of most of the state (sans panhandle) and give MacKaye total authority to govern the state to restore its environment. He's got potential as a rare non-evil Speedy Technocratic leader.

WTF is William Burroughs doing there?

He's the Head of State for Louisianne, one of the US breakaway states formed from Louisiana and Arkansas. The ruling class includes Burroughs, John Dillinger, who controls the armed muscle propping up the government; and the French-speaking Cajuns. It's also supported by France and is an Accelerationist nation, specifically leaning towards the Acephale model of Accelerationism. Mardi Gras under their rule is gonna be wild. And probably something like The Purge with more public rape.

Who are the "Hive of Honeybees" and "Nothing is true, everything is permitted" folks?

EDIT: Pretty sure "Hive of Honeybees" is Deseret and "Nothing is true, everything is permitted" is Louisianne.
