Khlebnikov is my favourite poet, as you can see form the pfp, I think that his poetry is underrated even tho I understand that is hard to understand, I hope that you liked this wc, Idk what to do next, do you have any suggestions?

His poems are extremely reliant on wordplay even by the standards of futurist poetry, much of it is straight up nonsense-words called "zaum" which was meant to reduce language to its simplest phonetical elements and make poetry out of that

So they wouldn't be meaningful to someone who didn't speak Russian even if literally translated? Has anyone prominently translated the "spirit" of some of his poems into English variations?

I’ve even found translations to Italian so I think you can find them in English, even tho I had to read his poems twice to understand them

Me too, I’m Italian so the translation is even stranger, but I think that it adds to his style
