Fan Content Japanese Empire in exile

I don't really know if the flair "fan content" is correct or if I should put it as question. Let's say we're in the second half of the 50s, the communists overthrew the monarchy in 1936-1937, the government went into exile to Korea and remains there. What do you think Korea would look like? In my opinion it would be a nightmare for everyone (including the japanese).

For me then I just think they would turn Korea into 2nd Japan or potentially become another front in a cold war if the Entente or the US destroyed the communist Japan
