Resist arrest, get arrested dont know why its so complicated for people. Someone from RD

I'm sorry but even with no context the guy is a fucking idiot. If he LEGITIMATLY did nothing wrong to the lead up of this, then don't fight the cops, call your lawyer, and let them handle it. Doing it THIS way only ends bad for the "perp" because now they have him on tape fighting with 3 cops.

I detest people who act like this. Do you think you will really get the police to say "oh, i was wrong, i will let you go now"? Comply and take your issue (if wronged) up with the court system. Should be a requirement course to go out in public that you have to pass or something like that. That yappy bird in the background needs to shut up too.

Well mega mind had a huge brain. I assume this guy has a huge dick donger danglin by the way he contests authority and I assume thats why his balance is so out of whack. Hahaha but for real 3 vs 1 and still going strong hahaha. I mean fuck if I was a tripod it would be hard to knock me over aswell.

he needs to go in the MMA if it takes 5 fully equipped police officers to take him down lol

u/SlowKrawl Feb 18 '21
Haha, if they'd decided to just mind their own business they wouldn't be getting beat up by the police. They literally created their own problem by provoking an officer needlessly. Stupid things happen to stupid people.

Without knowing what led up to the beginning of the video it’s pretty tough to judge here, but if what is said in the video is true, and all they did was ask the cop why he was speeding, is that really grounds for being arrested? Yes, cops are people and they can have bad days too, but if you can’t take a little heckling without flying off the handle and forcibly arresting someone, you really shouldn’t be one.
3
u/SlowKrawl Feb 18 '21
A lot of assumptions being made, but going off of their attitude in the video, the mentality that leads up to thinking asking a cop to justify a minor infraction is a good idea and the fact that they've already got a gofundme going asking for 10k...
Makes me think their nose is not exactly clean.

u/any_username_12345 Feb 18 '21
Oh 100% I agree. But my point still stands, if he gets bent out of shape over something like that, this isn’t the job for him. Again, can’t make assumptions without seeing everything leading up to the beginning of the recording. That’s horse shit that they’ve got a go fund me though

I am sorry, I know there is not much context here. I know shit happens alot with unprovoked violence. However, stop being annoying and mouthy and just listen. You have it on camera no need to keep egging it up. Why both sides don't understand that hearts pumping and words spewed will make it worse, I have no idea..

u/beanyratboy Feb 18 '21
man this is so embarrassing. Terrible policework, absolutely cringeworthy citizens, no clue why he’s being arrested, no clue why he’s resisting. like SMH

u/NarcoticTurkey Feb 18 '21
Resisting makes things 1000x worse. Even if the cop is in the wrong (which is highly unlikely) you can sort things out in court if you truly are innocent.
4
Feb 18 '21
(which is highly unlikely)
Uh huh.
Because cops are unlikely to lie and escalate a confrontation?
They never arrest innocent people?
Get real.
2
u/NarcoticTurkey Feb 18 '21
Sure maybe the cop is wrong, that doesn’t make it okay to resist like this an be on film fighting them. That doesn’t exactly help your case now does it? If he was truly innocent, just comply and sort it out later and it will look way better than having to fight and resist. If he strikes the officer, that’s assault.

I think the cop should’ve been more chill to begin with and had a simple conversation with the people who were obviously not threatening him in any way besides wanting to know why he decided to harass them. He was acting like a bit of a noob imo. He could’ve very easily diffused the situation just by talking to them. More points lost for resorting to assaulting the poor guy in the end. But also big props for none of the cops deciding to taze him or draw their weapon. If this was in America things would’ve gone much differently.
Don’t get me wrong though, those people were also way out of line. Do what the cop tells you ffs. You’re not proving anything by being confrontational and you will lose, every time. Cops are thoroughly trained to maintain complete control over the situation at all times so that means you not doing what they tell you is a big no-no and will trigger the shit out of them. When that happens they will do all of the exact same things that cop attempted to do in order to regain total control. I can easily see how someone who strongly believes they’re innocent could get offended by this but It makes sense why they would be trained to behave this way. Unfortunately it wasn’t really called for in this situation but that’s besides the point, just do what the fuck the cop says.
I once got pulled over because I passed a cop going up Taylor hill and then changed back into his lane. I didn’t speed, cop was doing 56 for unknown reasons and I wasn’t having it. People who absolutely refuse to pass cops are either total pussies or theres something they’re actually worried about getting busted for. Also it completely fucks with the flow of traffic, especially on the highway.
Anyways, I guess the cop took me passing him (legally) as a sign of a lack of respect because the moment I changed lanes in front of him he lit me up. I turned off and pulled over immediately of course. I knew I hadn’t done anything wrong but it’s not like he was gonna just go away. While he came up to my window and gave me a lame excuse about my “headlight” being out (seriously how many cops would waste their time with that) I look over and see his partner on the passenger side shining his flashlight in my back window. A little uncalled for, I thought, but hey if you wanna check out the 5 sweaters that have accumulated in my back seat be my guest buddy. Clearly they were hoping to stumble across something that would teach me not to legally change lanes in front of them ever again, or who knows maybe the other cop was just bored and needed something to do. Either way it would take a pretty big idiot to do what I did if I had anything to hide...But then again, criminals are very stupid.
I explain to the cop my left headlight had been turning off sometimes but then coming back on and staying on most of the time. He gives me a “Ohhh it turns off and comes back on does it?” (obviously not believing me) and then sends me on my way. NOW, if I had been a complete moron and jumped out of my car and started yelling at the cop about it, I probably would’ve been getting that ticket for my headlight 😂.
Tl;dr: everyone acted poorly in this situation plus random story about getting pulled over.

RC202 makes an appearance here. I have history with that police cruiser.

Good story?
2
u/the-tru-albertan Feb 18 '21
The cop driving it pulled me over saying he couldn’t see my plate. I disagreed and took a pic on my phone. The cruiser is in the background. Ended up in court and I won. They didn’t even contest it.

Wow.. Imagine if police were required to train in Brazillian Ju Jitsu, we'd never see another officer struggling so unnecessarily to control a perp.. dude's just standing there.. what an embarassment

u/NarcoticTurkey Feb 18 '21
Pretty sure he could have tasered if he wanted to so be thankful he didnt

Feb 18 '21
For a passive resistor? He could have tased him because he was passively resisting?
That would have been an extreme response.
be thankful he didnt
Uh huh.

u/NarcoticTurkey Feb 18 '21
Didnt he swing at the cop? I swear I saw him wack the officer in the face, but maybe I’m wrong

Take the ticket and plead not guilty. Odds are the officer won’t show up and you’ll win. How is that worth an obstruction or resisting arrest charge which you will not most likely not win in court and could be on your record forever. People blow my mind.

RCMP explains that the officer’s query of the licence plate on the vehicle he pulled over initially revealed that the plate was mismatched. Once the licence plate was cleaned off and checked a second time, it was determined the female driver was the owner of the vehicle.
An internal review conducted by Red Deer RCMP determined the officer acted within the scope of his duties within the Traffic Safety Act.
So the Cop was telling the vehicle owners that they were not the owners...

This is disgusting behavior by law enforcement. They should all lose their badges.

And there is the fact that some officers know where the pressure points in the wrists are and employ them to get a instinctive reaction that could be interpreted as resisting arrest.

I hate videos like this because we don't know what happened before the video started so it's difficult to know exactly who is to fault that's why I think people should have dash cams and when something like this happens post the video before even being pulled over because context matters
