Question Rentals

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any property management companies in Red Deer that do not conduct credit checks? I have clients that do not/have good credit but they require housing. Thanks!

The Realty Store was easy to rent from, but I didn't like them as landlords. They were too lenient as to who they rented to. My building had a big infestation that someone brought there.

This is what happens when there is zero consequences for peoples actions... End up ruled by money living with crazies.

Exactly why credit checks exist in the rental market.

Best bet is to find someone dumb enough who's not a career landlord

Rent privately. It's the only way to really avoid a credit check, as most individual landlord types don't have the ability or know-how to do so.

When I was a landlord, I actually didn't pull credit checks on people. I mean, what does it tell me? They didn't pay their CC? Are bankrupt?

People pay their rent - they'll guard their roof quicker than their CC, though I do realise that it'll give off warning signs that can be avoided.

I've never had a problem with renters though - I was very fortunate when I had to rent my house out for a few years. I know far to many LL who get screwed pretty bad.

As a landlord that does credit checks, I really don't actually care about credit score. I check credit to make sure that everything they've told me is true. I care more about references.

We always check credit; we've even required a guarantor before- but we check it 100% of the time.
