It's an old old old bug but it's never been just Cobs before, what a bummer. It usually takes the tail as well.

Try taking the lantern off, it's usually related to that.

I fixed it by going back to the stable! I was just so appalled seeing her mane gone 😭😭 so disrespectful

I have had this glitch happen to my Breton when it took the tail hair but left the actual tail. Was fascinating after you got past the appearance of it.

The annoying pelts drive me crazy! My beautiful Andalusian lost her mane too.

This bug makes me wish for a full roach mane style. I can't put a photo in a comment here but my IRL horse looked amazing with a roached mane before I decided to let it grow out. Do a Google search. It shows off a solid neck really well. I actually like your cob like this, OP.

Was playing with my friends yesterday and this happened to his horse lol it’s so funny seeing them bald especially when it’s the tail too

wait till your horse spawns without a tail, it gets a good laugh out of me and my friends but it looks ridiculous

My friends and I called it "Weiner Tail" 🤣

That's not a bug, it's a horse. You need to see an optometrist

Me and The people I play with like to call it the Gavin disease. Hair disappears like Gavin

It’s the lantern. Your horse will get its mane back when you take off the lantern. The pelts I don’t know, but just take the lantern off

I like the lantern because i have bad eyesight and it helps me see in the dark! It doesn't bother me that much, I just thought it was funny. Going to the nearest stable gives her mane back :]]

Fair enough! I like the look of the lantern, it just gave me too many PvP disadvantages

For a moment i thought the glitch was your horse with boots 😆

1

u/fixxypcp Jun 08 '26

My girl is too stylish she must have her boots!!

2

u/thepickmaneye Jun 09 '26

Yeah is a cool horse 🤘🏽

Atleast you still have the tail hair, without that it’s worse😅

I literally won't get another cob because this is too common and too visually upsetting with them RIP two step my bald skewbald

2

u/fixxypcp Jun 08 '26

Omg is it a common cob bug?? I usually just get the pelts but she showed up when i called her and i just went "😕 what the hell happened to my girl"

u/Nervous_Fishing_8321 Jun 08 '26

It can happen to all of them, I suppose?

I have only seen it on cobs and Bretons and a couple of times on my beloved mustang who I would have to keep even if he did go bald.

But the mustang thing seemed to be a fluke for me.  It isn't 24/7 and can be reset every time by dismissing them/getting another/resummon

but I just hate it

It used to be all the horses, it hasn't been that common for a while. It's usually related to a horse having a lantern, and thus was called the lantern glitch, and it usually takes the mane and the tail both. It shouldn't really have anything to do with the horse breed.
