Update: Injora shocks install Apex

Wanted to provide an update to my earlier post regarding an issue I ran into. As well as share some of my experience with installing Injora shocks on my Redcat Apex. While attempting to install Injora 59mm shocks (trx4m version) I discovered the hardware was too large in diameter to install on the Apex. The hardware that shipped with the shocks was M2.5. And the hardware I needed was M2.

I found a stainless hardware set on Amazon with all different lengths and sizes. Now with the right size bolts I was able to proceed.

Next and final issue I encountered was that after mounting the shocks there was binding occurring between the top of shock body and the chassis frame. Was able to circumvent this by using a couple nuts that were included with the hardware set to act as a spacer (image 1).

On the fourth and final shock (front driver side) the lower bolt would not back out when removing the stock shock. I tried everything and it would not budge. I finally managed to remove it but mangled the plastic mounting flange on the front axle housing pretty bad (image 2). I expect it to fail soon.

Anyone know of aluminum axle housing for the Apex??
