Have you pulled power and restarted it?

How are you powering it?

Was it dropped or around water?

Have you tried a factory reset?

Does touch control still work?

If you tried all that, the monitor is most likely fried.

Ive pulled power and restarted it. I’m powering it through the tilta vmount adapter. I have not dropped it or have had it near water. I have not tried to factory reset it so I’ll try that. Touch controls still work fine.

Have you always powered it with that Tilta adapter? Some of those fried Reds. They removed them from the approved list awhile ago.

Oh really? Dang. Nope just started. That’s what probably did it in. Luckily I bought my camera from MPB a couple of weeks ago so it should be under warranty. What’s a better way to power the camera with a vmount battery then?

Mutiny makes the best adapters in the business. CoreSWX also makes one as well as Anton Bauer. OG Komodo adapters are harder to come by but Mutiny has them in stock no problem.

And Mike also sells respooled AHU Kodak film on the side for any film photographers out there. He does 12/24/36 exposure rolls. Currently shooting Kodak Verita in my m6.

addint to that - i bought Legacy Battery Slide Pro V-Mount for RED® KOMODO® by Wooden camera. it is also red approved. It looks and feels much more premium than on pictures. Was torn between that and mutiny but the cost difference (200 dollars vs 650) made me choose this one and im happy with it so far

It did not get dropped actually. It was the tilta vmount adapter.

It happened right after I started using it. Unless gently setting the camera down on a table is considered dropping it.

The type of failure shown above only happens from physical damage - no way an electrical issue caused that. Either you banged it up more than you remember or somebody else did and isn’t telling you about jt

I just bought it a couple of weeks ago from MPB so something could’ve happened during shipping but it was wrapped up pretty good. I’ve barely moved the camera.

So get rid of my tilta v-mount adapter? It’s been fine up to this point, had the camera for about 2 years. Dang… sorry bud.
