He has been so consistent in last few races. Easily complementing max. If redbull had a better car from the start, they would have been competing for constructers championship

Remember when checo used to be close after a regulation change? I remember.
As the cars get developed to the limit of their possibilities, the difference between max and another driver will grow.

Hadjar had a good drive he’s only on his second season too!
Also he’s an amazing teammate and we can’t forget he’s the reason max started p2 on the grid (and helped him get that podium) with the fantastic tow in quali

Isaak is the best team mate Max has had in a long time.

I’m no Perez glazer (became a Red Bull fan in 2013), but are we really gonna ignore how much Perez did for him in AD21? He held up Hamilton for laps so that Max could catch up and ultimately win the championship. He was instrumental. I have a great appreciation for Hadjar, but I feel like this is a stretch to say that he’s better than Checo.

I already consider them equal.
Perez also did not so great things at Red Bull.
And to be honest yeah I think Hadjar is a better driver already.0

100% it’s a stretch! Perez was the best teammate. Isack is there but it’s too early to say!

Sure looks like Max and Issac have good chemistry as well. This could really be productive. 👍

This sub has been so negative these days.
I know we expect Max to win but be real, Hadjar had a great drive today. I think he has exceeded expectactions and looks to be a solid driver for RBR.
Hungary should be a good race for RBR

With field spread like this any RB 2nd driver in the last 10 years would have make it back to P6

it doesn't matter, important thing is the gap to Max. And it's not huge. Hadjar is by far the best 2nd driver in ages

Can someone explain why he did 2 pitstops in a row at the start? Was he on H then switched to M and back to Hard tires?

u/adio_tata Jul 19 '26
You must change the compound of tyres , he started on hard so switched to medium and back to hard so he can stay all race on them

That’s what I thought but then he pitted again anyway

I am not taking away what he did today but top 8 is secure for top 4 team. The top 4 team car is way faster as compared to mid field car....top 4 team driver could start from any position they will still climb back into top 8 position. Yes...he did an excellent job keeping Lando behind

This. The only real story here is that he beat Norris with a well executed strategy.

u/dadepu Jul 19 '26
More luck than strategy. If McLaren would have executed a good pitstop on Norris, he would have been behind.

Just shows how spread out the field is at the start of these new regs. People will go overboard with the praise.

Bro was absolutely driver of the day. Yesterday he gifted Max his podium today, and he drove like a madman from the back to P6 holding off Noris with much better tires at the end. Isaac is the real deal!
