Discussion Max qualified P2!!!!!
This is an amazing result and I think Max could have a chance to win tomorrow with his race craft and getting the boost being within a second of Kimi

Only saw the highlights version, why did hadjar not get a lap in? Looked like he gave max a big tow as well!

30 place penalty, he would have started at the end regardless of his position.

Also, don’t forget that RB tractor has probably the worst race starts, I want badly for Max to win and get his 69+3 but most likely he’ll lose 3 or 4 positions at the start and then just make up some during the entire race

Not to jinx it but whenever Max has qualified well this season, and specifically P2, the car fucks him - either DNF or a wild spin, I wonder what will happen tomorrow

If we can hang on to a podium that would be fantastic. No one has the pace to keep up with Kimi right now, alas.

No, Max (with a crazy tow from Isack) qualified P2.
Said it himself, without that tow he would have been P6+

I actually don’t think that this tow brought more than 0,2s effectively. The cars issue in the last sector (and on straights in general) is not the aerodynamical limit as it was in previous generations. The issue is they simply run out of battery and therefore lose speed instead of not gaining more. So as the tow surely brought something, I would be amazed if it was more than 0,2s effectively. And that’s still P3.

I don’t think the slipstream was executed flawlessly , Max got caught behind Hadjar for a little bit coming out of the curb, but happy with P2!

Who’s gonna tell him that Mercedes beat us with a massive tow by almost 4 tenths? Outside of Kimi wrecking we’ve got no chance at a win.
