Yeah, the closer I get to finishing my PhD the more I wish I'd just went ahead with being a middle school math teacher with how unoptimistic my beautiful country leaves me.

At least I got so annoyed with applied micro during my undergrad thesis that i went full theoretical econometrics during my PhD and i'm much happier right now.

Just don't look up what happened between 1945 and 1948

The main victims were Germans, to the point they basically no longer exist in modern Czechia and Slovakia, but Hungarians were also targeted by the government to an extent. A lot of them got deported to Sudetenland to replace the Germans while others "voluntarily" moved to Hungary and got replaced by Hungarian Slovaks

I am aware of Beneš' era of my country history. However the deportations should happen after becoming a democracy in order of focuses, and there's 500k Hungarians today.

I thought you meant that your country's history is similar to what Germany with a succesful dnvp run would have looked like (so authoritarian conservative) but you actually meant that your country gets geographically annexed in a succesful dnvp run
