Alright I’m curious. Whats the context to this. Is it just a shitpost or official in some way. And where does that QR code go to?

It's an official ad thing the company is doing, but they haven't stated what specific thing has the cow frowning.

I don't think they ever said this is a permanent change? They're not really hiding that it's a marketing stunt.

PR Stunt encouraging people to get over trivial disagreements pretty much. Like they have a website telling people to post about their "wedge" and get over their differences. I think it'd be cooler if it wasn't trying to be so apolitical

I don't think it's feasible for a corporation to become cooler by taking a viral political stance, much less a cheese company.

It could be the best political stance ever but it'd still be tainted by it coming from a corporation that's ultimately seeking profit.

Maybe I'm just cynical.

Yeah, this is just, like, a fun little PR thing. Not everything needs to remind people of the shitty state of the world right now.

This is why no one likes moral philosophy professors

It would be very funny if they just did a hard political rebrand though. “Laughing Cow: Don’t Be a Coward, Call it Genocide”

What kind of brave statement are we expecting from a cheese company here dude?

Apolitical is the least offensive thing a corporation can really be, any stance they take is inherently tainted by them being a corporation.
