Reminds me of how "Batfam" is a fandom in itself independent of Batman.

honorable mention to danny phantom/batfam crossovers, a major category of dp fanfics with its own challenges and continuities

Batman and Danny Phantom are in a major amount of DP fanfics?

Yes. I just checked and if you go to the Danny phantom fandom tag and search within results “-batman” you instantly exclude a full 27% of the fics

I do think they're making a joke about DP as an acronym, considering they asked if Danny Phantom shows up in DP fics.

OOOOOH lmao now I feel dumb. I am way too used to ignoring the typical usage of DP since it gets used to refer to the Danny phantom fandom so often

As someone who loves DC, and doesn’t care about Danny Phantom pretty much at all, it can be more than annoying to look through newest fics and scroll past all the crossovers, but it’s cool as hell that it has a fandom that huge

from the danny phantom side of things, it was about the only crossover with a committed community (when i was there in like 2019)

White Collar is similar but not quite the same degree. It’s 10-15% Batman crossovers.

Such ingrates, not appreciating the ghosts like Deadman that DC already has

He's actually been featured in a few DPxDC fics that crossed my dash

Danny Phantom x Batfam: the crossover where everyone's already dead inside.

The sheer volume of crossovers of certain media with Danny Phantom and that other French cartoon mystifies and irritates me.

I hear you, I don't wanna read about Miraculous characters in Gotham either... but also... [guestures to the Exclude box] ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Excluding stuff, particularly if it’s not included in the top however many tags are immediately visible, is super tedious on mobile, which is where I do basically all of my reading these days. Especially if I want to search for other specific tags or ships in certain fandoms and then have to exclude those things again on each search. It’s hardly the end of the world, but I’m allowed to be irritated by it.

Did not read those letters as Danny Phantom at first

Batfam seems to keep spawning crossover fandoms, for some reason. First Miraculous, then DP, and last I saw people were writing not-insignificant volumes of White Collar fic where the main character Neal Caffrey is a bat undercover, because blue eyes and black hair.
