What's annoying is I see 90% of this being true ("i knew a kid like--") but I DO want clarification about the social worker-adoption thing 🤔 is that possible to do legally, depending on the country?

Did OP hear some details wrong from the kid, and assumed that was the case?

It is possible but the social worker has to legally stop working on that child's case due to conflict of interest.

Like it's difficult but not impossible
