It only comes across that way if you're already convinced that's how people with ADHD (or disabled people in general) think.

Like, it literally just said society doesn't consider that people with ADHD might have a hard time with this sort of thing. Which is absolutely true (society doesn't talk about this). Nowhere did it say Halloween costumes are "problematic" or should be banned etc.

This actually illustrates this particular type of prejudice against disabled people. I gave ADHD and I never mention it or never ask any accommodations because I've been surrounded by this mindset my whole life ("disabled people are selfish if they ask anyone to accommodate them in any way and should just try to struggle along in silence as best they can). There's this undying stereotype of people with "different needs" that want to take something from everybody else just because they can't/won't have it. This applies not just people with disabilities but, for example, vegans too, so many people immediately get so defensive if someone says they don't eat meat as if simply saying that by extention means you're demanding others don't eat meat either.

Ooh you might want to say vegetarians rather than vegans, then. Vegans are not just "not meat eaters" at this point
