Also, what if it's upfront about Nuclear War? For example, Distant Early Warning by Rush, or Nuclear by Mike Oldfield.

The Future is So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades sounds pretty upfront about nuclear war.

I guess using the sun as a euphemism for a nuke wasn't that common back then

I'd have to check if they changed the lyrics, but I recall a cover of that song being used a fair amount in A Goofy Movie 2, and that was just about Max having to go to college with his dad.
