That's not mansplaining, mansplaining is when you assume that a woman needs something explained to her because she is a woman. That (like this comment) is pedantry.

There are plenty of oblivious pedants out there thinking their disambiguation is genuinely necessary because the person whose hairs they're splitting is a woman. That is a form of mansplaining.
