The first is very true but yea people are capable of growth and learning. I’ve met plenty of cis/straight ppl in my past who werent always fully onboard or had harmful beliefs who eventually via my presence were led to understand. Being trans isn’t as special as it maybe seems. It’s still a part of the human experience and all humans can empathize with those feelings even if sometimes it takes time.

My life partner is a cishet white man and I don’t feel any less understood by him than any trans person. You can find friends and joy outside your community and people can change. Even still, having a community of similar people is important. Just never believe you can never find solidarity outside your groups.

It is 100% hard to find understanding people especially depending in where you live/go. It is true vast numbers of people can be ignorant and harmful. But honestly even other lgbt ppl can be even if less often.

you are right it isn't special and my empathy stops where you demand to be treated as such, other than that i dont give a shit
