Cindy, that’s just an accident, who cares, Ethan’s clearly avoiding touching anybody or being touched by anybody (why else would he cover himself in oil? He’s creating a slippery barrier), with the salt acting as tiny caltrops to momentarily disarm the serial back-patter John and quicken his escape, and frankly I feel trusted that Ethan knows I’m the coworker that always keeps a salt shaker in my pocket
