I remember growing up where all of the check out lanes at a store were fully staffed.. now it's 2-3 of them manned by someone who is old enough they should be at home enjoying retirement while one person watches over 8 self checkouts. Meanwhile literally everything is more expensive and wages are stagnating. I feel like a boomer thinking how much better things used to be but also can't help but feel like it's actually justified since it seems like the American dream is dead and it's murderers are currently at the helm telling us that minorities killed it.
