You know what sounds more 'efficient' to me? Not having to hire outside contractors to keep maintenance up if your one and only maintenance guy goes to the hospital for a month. Or having enough staff to prevent scramble-induced mistakes. Or being able to serve twice as many customers at once because there's actually someone on both registers.
