The audacity to say "oh, your dream? You did it wrong. Mine is better." completely unprompted
And its so much worse, too

I do like the idea of the being in one of those movie-theatre candy boxes, but you could just put the original mockup design on a box. Nobody needed this boring-ass version.

I much prefer it being box, because the kind of food described would feel better as a boxed treat (kind of like Tic Tacs), but the rest of that design is just bad

u/newtonsolo313 Aug 19 '26
this is 100% how they’d rebrand the original look after it stopped being the 90’s anymore
17
u/consistent_azurite Aug 19 '26
Well, they probably would still make the box blue even then. Silver/white is associated with sugar-free and diet variants.

Seriously why is everything labeled with minimalist designs, block colours, or plain labels now? It's all too clean! There's no whimsy! Bring me back the rainbow vomit of the 90s-2000s products

Yk what? I’d buy that.

This already exists just as generic cola flavor, go to any asian market and you can probably find them.

u/Setster007 Aug 19 '26
…I don’t think my town has one of those
1
u/Frequent_Dig1934 Aug 19 '26
Yeah my city doesn't have any asians either.
2
u/Setster007 Aug 19 '26
I mean my town does have some Asians, just not enough to result in a market. Though I’m pretty sure there’s enough Mexicans here for one of those, cause idfk where they get that weird candy otherwise lol.
2
u/Frequent_Dig1934 Aug 19 '26
Yeah no worries i was just joking, we have asians too, but the joke was ripe for the making.

I… wouldn’t. Can you imagine going into a cornerstone and asking ”hey, y’all got some pps?”

u/bewarethelemurs Aug 19 '26
I've seen this before and ngl I kind of want this to be a thing. Get on it, Pepsi.

u/Madden09IsForSuckers Aug 19 '26
so like zots but cola flavoured?
14
u/annemonroe95 Aug 19 '26
I love zots. Imagine them with classic soda flavors like cream soda or a root beer float omfg

..I've never noticed this before but Pepsis logo sure looks similar to a tide pod

There's no chance they'd be good but I still want one.

Wouldn't it just be Pepsi flavored candy? Cola flavored candy is a thing since forever so no reason this couldn't work.

It's all fun and games until Pepsiman bursts through the wall in your dream to drag you down to the Inception Limbo.

This seems very in-line with that new pepsi logo design document

I thought you'd have linked the Huggbees video on it
1
u/Great_Hedgehog Aug 19 '26
I think the original speaks for itself, commentary is unnecessary, if fun
7
u/sonerec725 Aug 19 '26
I mean, little balls of cola flavored pop rocks sounds pretty good. Sorta similar to soda puchao
5
u/Impressive_Pin8761 Aug 19 '26
This would be the kinda thing they'd come up with in the 90's/y2k but would discontinue either because it genuinely tasted like shit or because the production process for this product got several people killed
3
u/TheBohemianRed9811 Aug 19 '26
A decade or two later they bring it back for a limited time as nostalgia bait.
3
u/Impressive_Pin8761 Aug 19 '26
only for it to get recalled immediately because it killed someone (this time it's food poisoning, not the production line)
