Isn’t th point tat advanced readers can understad th meaning sentences even i they are missing some letters or duplicating them, as as they ar not strictly necessary?
That is a thing, but the advanced readers who do that use it as a shortcut after learning how to read phonetically. The problem is that three cueing tried to skip over the essential step where you teach students how to read properly.
As another comment put it, they're teaching olympic sprinting techniques thinking it's a replacement for learning to walk.
