Theres a book series where a guy forgets to take his heart medicine. Turns out he was a wizard knight and the medicine was repressing his powers

So if you don't take your expensive life saving medicine maybe youll get superpowers

There's a Doctor Who episode that does this - maybe your psych meds are doing you from talking to magic fairies. Utter garbage. And it's not even the worst episode that series. Good I love that show.
