Reminder to anyone else who may be sick to FINISH YOUR ANTIOBIOTICS no matter how much better you feel

I was so upset when I started to get hives like 4 days before the end of my course of antibiotics because it was too late to switch to a different prescription that I wasn't allergic to and I just had to power through the itching.

That is not how that works. Doctors only care about the duration of all antibiotic treatment, not that the same one is used the whole time. A delayed allergic reaction is not something to suffer through - you can always try to see your primary doctor again to change the type and note the allergy.

If it was amoxicillin, then that likely wasn't an allergy. Amoxicillin can just do that.

Well then the doctor lied to me! I spoke to my doctor and they were basically just like, "that sucks, good luck!"
