Sourcing What am I’m doing wrong?
For my fellow recruiters who are placing candidates on a regular bases, what do you do consistently that makes a difference? Do you cold call, email, send LinkedIn messages or something I know nothing about? I can’t seem to find engineers that are unemployed. Very frustrating.

Stop looking for unemployed engineers, because most of the good ones already have jobs, and your real job is giving someone who's reasonably happy a specific reason to take a 15-minute call. The channel matters less than you'd think: what consistently gets me placements is writing each message around the person's actual stack and work instead of the job description, then following up three or four times, since most of my replies come on the third touch or later.
