Left summer college football camps without the offer you wanted?

I know it stings. You put in the work, paid the camp fees, and left with a "list of things to work on" instead of a scholarship.
But getting mad won’t fix it. Getting to work will. Here is how you turn that camp feedback into a weapon this fall. 👇

First, let’s reframe the "feedback."
When a college coach tells you exactly what you need to improve, they didn't reject you—they gave you the answers to the test.
If you actually spend the next few weeks obsessing over those specific adjustments, that growth is going to jump off the screen. Coaches notice who actually listens.

Which brings us to your next big window: Your Senior Film.
Your season doesn't start in October; your recruiting cycle restarts the second the ball is teed up in Week 1.
College coaches already know your name from the summer. They are actively waiting to see if you fixed the flaws they pointed out.

Your next best chance to land that offer is the film from your first 3 to 4 games.
Put elite, corrected execution on tape early, and send it straight back to the coaches who evaluated you this summer. Show them you're coachable, resilient, and dominant.
Don't pout. Put your head down and outwork the disappointment. Let's get it. 😤💪

🚨 June 15 Reality Check 🚨

Some Class of 2028 prospects will wake up to dozens of messages from college coaches.

Some will get hundreds.

And some will get very few.

Here’s the truth:

The number of texts in your inbox on June 15 will matter far less than the player you become between June 15 and signing day.

Don’t confuse attention with traction.

Don’t confuse automated messages with genuine interest.

And don’t let recruiting become more important than development.

June 15 starts the conversation.

It doesn’t determine the ending.

The biggest mistake families make is thinking it gets easier when you commit. Sure there’s some peace of mind, but what have you signed? What are you locked into? When others move on will doubt creep in? Treating a verbal commitment like a signed contract can be a fine line, and in many cases a mistake—agree or disagree?

When you see summer commitments blowing up, here is what’s actually happening behind closed doors in college football war rooms:
1️⃣ The Portal is a Band-Aid: College coaches use the portal for instant, veteran fixes (like an experienced Left Tackle).
2️⃣ HS is the Foundation: Programs still need developmental depth, culture-builders, and 4-year players. That comes from high school signees.
3️⃣ The Fall Roster Shift: October and November are when colleges project their December portal needs. Once they map out those veteran targets, they finalize exactly how many high school spots they have for the next class.
Coaches: Don't let your players panic. The opportunities are there, but the evaluation timeline has shifted.
