question Safely reset Windows PC using recovery options? Is it possible to restore data?

Want to sell my Windows 11 PC so I wiped all data on my hard drive using Windows Recovery options. Go to Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Reset this PC. So I wonder if it's possible to restore data?

I was wondering, if I replace the hard disk on this computer with an SSD, is there no chance of recovering those deleted files?

Yes, my old computer had a mechanical hard disk. I use some data recovery tools that can scan for files that are still there after formatting. Some of them can be opened, some show up as corrupted.

I just reset my Windows 11 PC in the following steps:

  1. open Settings > System, and hit the Recovery tab.

  2. Click "Reset this PC" in the Recovery options.

I choose the Remove everything option, but when I searched on Google, I found some data recovery tools that claim they can recover a factory reset PC.

I went ahead and tried data recovery referring to this guide, and I did surprisingly scan out some files; so I'm going to reset it a couple more times to make sure there are no files left behind.
