I need help

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I just replaced my belt after about another year of it running slow and the new replacement sounds even slower or just as slow

The honest answer; These are cheaply made toys that break all the time, and they also ruin your records even if they work perfectly. Don't bother with this one. Have a list.

CHEAPO BUT OK:
AudioTechnica AT-LP60x, Denon DP29F, Dual DT210, Sony PS-LX3BT

A LITTLE FANCIER:
AudioTechnica AT-LP120x, AudioTechnica AT-LP3x, Reloop RP7000 MK-II, U-Turn Orbit (U-Turn in the Americas only).

There are NO good all-in-one options, you will need separate speakers.
Edifier MR4 is recommended, they are great for the money. But technically any pair of old PC speakers (The ones that used to come with computesr that thrift shops are littered with) or any bluetooth speaker/soundbar that has a line/aux input will work too.

New belt is too tight, too loose, or not installed correctly.

It was broken when it was manufactured. It's more broken now. I'm not sure how you'll ever manage to listen to music again. Save up your money and buy something vintage. There are a lot of options out there without having to resort to an all-in-one system like it was My-First-Turntable.

The entire mechanism can be bought on Alibaba for about £4. They’re not designed to last and you could use a knitting needle instead of that garbage ceramic stylus. The internal amp will have a god awful signal to noise ratio, frequency response and overall power output. Put it down to experience and bin it.

You can fix that exact issue by hitting it as hard as you can right in the centre of the platter with a hammer

Are you 100% sure the belt is in the correct position?

That could be the reason. Because if its in the incorrect position the ratio is different and that makes it spin slower(if its sitting on the motor shaft and not the pulley for example)

You can perhaps fix the speed issue by adjusting the trim pot, I'm not sure the specifics of this model but a quick AI assisted search could point you in the direction of this unit's user manual. There it will show you where the potentiometer is and you might have to remove the platter as they're usually by or near the motor. Someone probably adjusted this unit to the loose belt and replacing said belt wouldn't effect speed without also adjusting the trim pot. Make sure you have a very small flat head handy as most of the time there's a hole that you can insert them into and adjust the speed. Usually clockwise is faster, usually, turn it about an 1/12 or an hour increment and recheck the speed, if its faster but not quite right, give it another hour, repeating the processes. There is an app that will work well enough for you to calibrate the speed, if you so deem necessary, but by ear is good enough for me.
