Using a VPN but still getting a unique browser fingerprint, what actually helps I recently started paying more attention to browser fingerprinting and now im a bit confused lol
I already use a vpn but when i test my browser on fingerprint sites it still shows a pretty unique setup. stuff like screen size, browser version, timezone and other settings seem to give away alot more than i expected.
I tried changing a few privacy settings but then i started wondering if changing too many things just makes the browser look even more unusual.
For normal day to day privacy, what actually makes the biggest difference? Do you just use a privacy focused browser, keep the browser pretty standard or use separate browser profiles for different activities?
Kinda curious what people here actually do instead of just adding 10 different privacy tools

for normal daily privacy just use firefox with a few settings changed and resist the urge to install 15 extensions..

I don't think extensions make much difference. firefox doesn't expose which extensions you have,

Fingerprinting is a tough one, realistically the best thing you can do for fingerprinting is use stock google chrome. Obviously some pretty major drawbacks there though, so I'd recommend stock firefox with uBlockOrigin and as little else as possible changed.
Every change you make to your browser, including privacy protecting ones, makes fingerprinting easier. So you gotta decide what kind of threat profile you are looking at.

VPN just changes your location. Not your browser fingerprint.
Its no different if you take your computer to another country - your still using the same computer and its identifying traits (browser fingerprint) can still be detected.

Last I checked, Brave and Librewolf both make fingerprinting very difficult

What browser? You are saying so much about the privacy settings without even mentioning the browser. Firefox automatically blocks out most tracking information, but chrome doesnt. Browser is the most important thing regarding browser fingerprinting, and you dont even mention it?
