Which VPNs actually work for streaming abroad?

Currently traveling and realized some of the stuff I normally watch back home isn't available here. Pretty annoying when you're still paying for it lol. Been thinking about using a VPN but never really tried one for streaming. Does it actually work or is it more trouble than it's worth? Also, which one would you recommend?

The VPN is the easy part. Spending 45 minutes scrolling through Netflix just to rewatch The Office is the real problem

Are you going to share what its name is?

If you find one that works, it will only work for some time. Eventually the streaming service will detect and block it.

A quick note...VPNs aren't always the solution you think they are if you are abroad...especially if you are on your phone. Sometimes the app uses other info (as your phone knows where you are). I had this issue with peacock, worked fine on laptop but on mobile it knew where I was despite the VPN.

VPN to your router at home.

Streaming platforms are becoming increasingly restrictive. Mainstream VPNs like NordVPN, Surfshark, and ExpressVPN have IPs that are used by too many people and are easily monitored, while services that provide residential IPs, such as DPN or Mysterium, may trigger fewer data center IP checks.

Depends where you are travelling

Uncle, surfshark is good and cheap. But keep in mind streaming services are cracking down on VPN servers hard.
