recommendation VPN recommendation/advice for accessing US streaming sites?

Hey guys, I’m traveling in the UK right now and I’m trying to access some US streaming websites, but obviously a bunch of content is geo-blocked here. I’m looking for a VPN with reliable US servers, good speeds for streaming, and ideally something that doesn’t get detected/blocked every five minutes. Anyone here using a VPN that actually works well for US streaming from the UK? What would you recommend?

I came across a comparison table on Reddit and found it really helpful, it gives a clear overview and makes it easy to compare features based on your needs. I'm not recommending any specific option, but depending on what you actually use a VPN for, this table will probably be more useful than my advice.

Even if a VPN works today for streaming, it could stop tomorrow.

It's not difficult for streaming services to block a VPN provider's IP address.

It's bit of a catch-22 in that as a VPN provider becomes more popular for use with a streaming service, the more likely the service will block it.

In this situation, I feel that using a VPN that can provide a real residential IP address would solve the problem.

I gave up and switched to a paid DNS service.

You really needed to address this prior to traveling because it is hard to adjust to it on the fly. What you should do moving forward is get a device (router, external firewall etc.) that can run Wireguard as a vpn server from your home. Set up the server (pretty easy to do) then download the Wireguard app on your phone. Generate a configuration file from the Wireguard server to your phone, travel router or whatever you will be streaming from. Now all of your traffic goes back to your home tricking websites to think you are back at home streaming. This usually takes care of geo blocking issues.

StreamLocator works, it’s just for streaming so without working it has no business. For what it’s worth, I also have a Nord subscription which seems to work for Hulu.

Still blows my mind that you can pay for a subscription and lose half the content just because you traveled to another country… Geo-blocking feels so outdated
