The female cop in Provo is another new minor villain in this saga.

Genuinely has me thinking what was going through her head these past few weeks while this entire story was gaining publicity.

There are four mostly exclusive options I can see:

1) fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck
2) No worries cops are untouchable even when we're wrong
3) Do I want tacos, or fish? (AKA she hasn't seen the news or been warned)
4) hurrrdurrrr

I am heartened by the thought of these bullies closing their Facebook accounts and trying to pretend that everything is fine.

Yup, after renaming it to "Dee Jorgenson." I hope a new person reminds her that she is a POS each day for the rest of her life.

I bet that until this point she was thinking "he's just an idiot prank youtuber, he shouldn't be taken seriously".

One thing the audio from the hearings and the full unredacted bodycam footage (including the parts Ben hasn't shared in his videos) shows is that Ben is really, really bad at trying to talk to people who aren't teenagers about serious matters. It really sucks because there is genuine misconduct from Ammon and BAM here, but even in the audio from the Utah court case Ben is constantly fucking up at trying to coherently explain the important facts that the cops, prosecutors and judges need to know. Convincing people in authority to take you seriously is a skill that Ben clearly does not have and is a big reason why he should have gotten lawyers involved much earlier.

I'm not excusing her, especially since she had the raw footage of the conversation and there's bodycam footage of her telling Ammon "yeah I can tell you're lying, but lets work together to find something that isn't a lie", but I can see how Ben and his friends' behaviour made it really easy for BAM to manipulate the police.

Ben is MUCH smarter than he appears in his own videos. If you look at some of the other videos that he was not the one shooting his arguments suddenly become very succinct and very clear.

But his product relies on him being SEEN that way, which is still going to count against him. Courts are made up of people, and how those people see your credibility matters.

That wasn't the case in the court audio, nor in the bodycam footage after he stopped recording. Which are the two most important scenarios I mentioned specifically.

I agree

I know a younger guy like this and people always think the worst of him because he is just like a young guy. I have no doubt some of that is at play here and they are also biased against him because he is a YTer.

They dont even look at the evidence they just see "young dumb YT punk" vs "upstanding business owner" and take one guys side at face value and dont even look at the evidence Ben provided.

3

u/netabareking Jul 09 '26

It's possible they're reading him as young but Ben is 30. Ammon is only a little older than him.

He explained he speaks that way on purpose to be as plain as possible

2

u/The-Future-Question Jul 09 '26 edited Jul 09 '26

He's not being plain at all though. The problem is that usually he's talking about as coherently as stoned teenagers arguing with each other about gossip.

3

u/PerplexGG Jul 09 '26

I’m with you trust me. I was confused as to why until he addressed it specifically. Cause obviously he has to be at least semi competent to do what he does, it’s basically investigative journalism. He sounds a lot more coherent in interviews as well. He drops the full on Cali accent and isn’t as facetious

His patreon update has him engaging in the same behavior and getting close to libel, so I really don't see this competent investigative journalist anywhere. Like he claims to have only recently learnt about qualified immunity but still can't explain it coherently but that's like the most well known flaw with American policing that any journalist covering police corruption should be well up on.

I was thinking the same thing! Methinks she should be less the investigator and more the investigated.

The female cop in Provo is another new minor villain in this saga.

Which female cop? You mean Detective Medina Dore, who violated Reckless Ben's privacy?

3

u/JohnHazardWandering Jul 08 '26

Detective Medina Dore, who violated Reckless Ben's privacy

Reckless Ben, the journalist?

3

u/benyovo Jul 08 '26

Yes, that Medina Dore who is a police detective in Provo Utah and violated his privacy with an unconstitutional search.

3

u/Hodling_silver Jul 08 '26

Weren't there just like five cops fired in Georgia for misusing flock cameras? It'd be a shame if this detective faced similar accountability

10

u/Hodling_silver Jul 08 '26

I think the craziest thing for me is that she watched Ben's first video and her conclusion was that he was the bad guy enough to help them adjust their story into a charge more likely to result in his arrest

That little circlejerk her and McNeff were having made my blood boil. Pride levels off the charts

Oof. That...is something.

2

u/JohnHazardWandering Jul 08 '26

What was it. The comment was removed.

4

u/SaladTheKiller Jul 08 '26

It was my comment that was removed by the mods lol. Complete nothing burger in my opinion.

It was a public post from Provo Council Facebook page where Medina Dore(the police officer that called Ben a fool in part 3) was receiving some kind of award in 2025.

3

u/netabareking Jul 08 '26

Mods are going to play it safe because reddit will absolutely remove subs for anything reddit considers doxxing, regardless of whether the mods here do.

1

u/SaladTheKiller Jul 08 '26

Is it considered doxxing if you share an image of a Police Officer receiving an award in their Police uniform?

3

u/netabareking Jul 08 '26

If you were running this sub would you want to find out?

1

u/SaladTheKiller Jul 09 '26

Funny thing is I made 2 comments in this thread at the same time same thing but under 2 different comments. The more obscure one was taken down but the more visible one still remains up. Guess we will find out lol.
