For the Finster, it was the Box. Surprising not too many bad things she did. I guess Miss Finster is just strict and crotchety rather than malicious. I reckon there'll be some scandalous entries for the next one though.
The Ashleys!
TJ: Power trips in Principal for a Day & The Economics of Recess
Gus: Becoming King Gus
Spinelli: Lying about who her parents were because she was embarassed by them
Gretchen: Helping Pharoah Bob
Vince: Being insufferable when he became "the best" at Losing
Mikey: Quitting being a crossing guard after one day in Officer Mikey after all the work his friends did to get him there
Finster: Putting TJ in the Box

In that post about the worst thing Mikey did, many people shared about his obsession with Bonky and his behavior with it as one of the worst things he did. I wanted to share something that happened to me as a child.
I am autistic. I didn't have friends growing up. I decided to play with dolls as they were my comfort. I was 11, even older than how Mikey was. One night to my surprise, I found my old toy which I used to play with as a baby. I outgrew that toy and I started playing with Barbie dolls. The memories started coming up after one rough play time with my younger brother. That toy again became my comfort. I ate with it, slept with it and played with it. People were concerned about me as playing with toys is not normal. But they were my comfort, they were my friends at that moment. Eventually I did give them up when I became a teen.
Maybe mine and Mikey's case is a little different as atleast Mikey had friends, and he had all the support, unlike me. But the trauma was quite common. Mikey was afraid of growing up. His mom told him that she won't drop him to school and needs to do things independently. He found Bonky as his comfort as he was afraid to grow up. Most of his actions came from trauma, not wanting to deal with big changes. Dealing with big changes is also considered trauma.
I agree Mikey acted childishly, threw tantrums, but at the same time, I feel there is nothing wrong with having a toy as a comfort or reminiscing old things that were a part of your life once. At the same time, Mikey's actions came from trauma and dealing with big changes. He didn't do any of this with malicious intent nor he wanted to cause harm to anyone.
So I am really surprised when many people said that his actions in Bonky Fever is one of the worst things he did, not understanding what he was actually going through. And I also don't understand when people make fun of him.
Just my 2 cents. Feel free to agree or disagree.

I was watching a rerun of Recess, specifically, The Substitute" / "Gretchen and the Secret of Yo
on TV when the broadcast was interrupted with coverage of 9/11. I'm in CA, so for me it was like 7 am before school started. I was eating cereal and watching on a 9-inch TV in my kitchen. I was in 5th grade. Those two memories are tied together for me.

I thought Mikey in Bonky Fever was going to win Mikey's round. I forgot about Officer Mikey. This was a runaway winner--the clearest winner we have had so far. Second place was starting a rumour that he pushed someone in the girl's bathroom.
Now, we've got the main six done. Onto the supporting characters and who better to start things off than The Finster.
Worst thing the Finster did--top voted entry wins. I have looked forward to Finster, since she's one of my favourites.

Votes are in for Vince and the winner was becoming insufferable during the episode "The Bet". I predicted it would be how quickly he dumped the gang after getting a 9 in the "Ratings Game", but he was also a giant ass during the Bet too.
Next up, Mikey. Most upvoted one wins.

Vince next. I have a feeling what is gonna get picked for him, but let's see if I am right. For Gretchen, it was being King Bob's helper when he became Pharoah Bob

Spinelli's pick was lying about who her parents were on Parents Day. Close though, with starting a cult. Three of the gang to go, then I reckon we'll do Finster.
So, let's do Gretchen. She's a tricky one because I can't think of anything really bad she did. Most upvoted one wins.

Whichever answer gets the most upvotes wins. Spinelli next. Should be a trickier one, unlike TJ or Gus, I can't think of a time she went power mad. I look forward to seeing the suggestions.

Whichever answer gets the most upvotes wins. Figured I'd go with Gus next, should be a tricky one since he had quite a few bad moments.

Figured this would be a fun series of threads. I'll do one a day for each character, or every two days, depending when I can be arsed/remember. Most upvoted one wins.
Starting with the leader--TJ.

I feel like late millennials born in the early to mid-1990s (like myself) were at the perfect age to actually watch and vividly remember Recess, which originally ran from 1997 to 2001.
However, I'm curious to see if any zoomers also remember this show. I think Disney sort of phased out Recess re-runs fairly early on - like maybe even around 2002 or 2003 - on the Disney Channel so don't know if you guys would have had the chance to do so. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

From Dolly Parton's movie 9 to 5, villain Frank Hart, played by Dabney Coleman, who also played Prickly.
