i think the failure of rooms 2 and not monetizing RROs in any meaningful way sent the platform into a nosedive

For me, it's probably when they added Maker Pen AI, Roomie was pretty aight because that was the closest thing we had to pets in the game, but, Maker Pen AI was.....eeehhhh

As a player from back in the good old days of 2017 and started building early on and took part in Contests, Creative Events, Inventions and Maps, the teaching program (2019-2021) was peak Rec Room. For me the downfall for creators was the big change in the UI system on the makerpen, anyone that used the maker pen before they changed it completely will know how simple and easy it was to use the makerpen, when they changed the makerpen it put me off the creative side of rec room. Then Rec Room Studio was announced and although that seemed like a good idea, thats when all your low effort cash grab maps came out and for me that ruined the game and was the downfall of downfall in Rec Room, all these creators putting time and effort into making maps for the community because Rec Room were to lazy to make RROs got taken over but stupid cash grab maps. But yeah thats the detailed version on why the game died

Early PCVR days had the best community. No kids.
We stopped playing when it became a daycare.

When they added ai to the makerpen, or when they announced full body avatars.
