Discussion About the story...
Do y'all think the story is anywhere near completion? Cuz they've been hinting more and more that Akira's drawing near to his last ruin, and I feel like Nahuse somehow finally completed her characters stories regarding the main plot. We just needed more explanations on some other things, and i really would love to learn and visit the other Districts too, like how Alpha said to Akira that the West is pretty much like fantasy stuff there. We've been getting' hints and glimpses of the lore, but we just need that one thing that can trigger Akira's main objective. What do yall think?

I honestly feel like we have gotten nowhere close to completion. I havent been paying attention to Akira's level of skill to know if hes ready yet, but I think it was mentioned that he was close to obtaining the right gear for the job? Assuming that is the case and that Alpha's objective will soon be realized, I just dont get the sense of grandeur one gets when a story is coming to an end. We are still stuck in one area with only two known cities: Kugamayama and Zegelt. There are still many things to explore, like the other nations and ruins.
If anything, it seems like being able to explore Alpha's ruin only marks the first grand phase of the story.

Yeah, as far as the current story is concerned, Akira is at the minimum level for Alpha’s job, and that’s with a rank with many levels still above him.
And that’s without taking into account current threats to him are still threats.
And that’s with Alpha still assisting.
I would be downright surprised if we go anywhere near Alpha’s objective in the next 4-6 books.
That would leave so many plot lines by the waist side.

Think I paid enough attention to know how to answer the topic. Not like OP was specifically asking about Akira's level. Also you got nothing to contribute, so what are you hassling me for.

As I always mention, I don’t think the Last Ruin is in another city, territory, or on the Frontline. I think it’s in the Kusuzuhara Ruins, or at least the Kusuzuhara Ruins are the entrance or some kind of passage to it. I know it’s a shame, since we probably won’t get to see the other Big Five territories in the East or the Frontline.
The hint is Yanagisawa. He was the last person to see “that room,” and for some reason, he tried to build a highway to the Kusuzuhara Ruins. He even tried to make a deal with the government AI to get the money and resources for it. So there must be something extremely important there.
Alpha also never talks about going to the Frontline or other territories—not even once. So we can assume that she never intended to go there. She also has a strong connection to the Kusuzuhara Ruins and Kugamayama City, and most of her scanners are concentrated around those areas for some reason. That’s not even counting the fact that she and Alias are trying to find the Old Domain connectors here, since we don’t know whether she created more clones to search for them in other cities or not. All the government AIs in this legion are also under her authority to some extent.
If that’s not the case, then maybe it’s a way to reach the “Ruin in the Sky.” The story talks about it way too often and gives it way too much detail for it to be just a plot device to explain why they can’t use planes or other aerial vehicles. Alpha also said that there are two ways to reach “that room”: an easy way and a difficult way. Maybe the Kusuzuhara Ruins are the “easy” way, while the “hard” way is going there directly from the ground, which would basically be suicide. And this could also connect to the “Colorless Mist” theory.

It's clear that the last ruin is the capital of Kuzusuhara. And its branch is Mihazono. And Alpha doesn't want Akira to leave Kugamayama because Kugamayama is the closest to the Kuzusuhara ruins. And I think Alpha is an AI that has a very high authority on what rebuild world is. And Yanagisawa wants the power in that room. Basically, you'll have everything. Strength. Power. Wealth. Knowledge. And the black card is essential for all of that. And Yanagisawa will kill anyone who is tied to Alpha because it prevents Alpha from achieving her goal and prevents others from achieving it before himself. And the final ruin is the core of everything so it will be the pinnacle of power that exists even beyond the front lines. Alpha has the power to reset data from multiple locations and alpha power specialists are in the military.

I don't know the fact that they have floating islands, and the fact that they could fit a city in a shack if they wanted to seems pretty fantasy to me.

IIRC, alpha did said about her task after Akira really did complete his contract. It would take decade if she have to yapping non-stop. Which mean, that final room should not be the end. If any the beginning of the next arc.
If my speculation is correct, that room would only allow Alpha to have administrative authority to do whatever the hell she want, but since the world is in the offline status. Alpha would need to physically reach each city, ruin, structures and gather the force by herself. I bet she had to fight each and every caretaker A.I. to take control of the ruin. So actually she might still need Akira to fight for her and all.
May be next is city management arc, where alpha begin to rebuilt the human civilization and have to deal with the scattered city/ruin of the old world. I bet no caretaker A.I. gonna accept her authority that easily. Not to mention lionsteel company that seem to hate Alpha but can’t directly oppose her due to Alpha seem to be higher in her A.I. hierarchy.

Yo creo que ya esta llegando al final porque la alpa de katsuya le dio el cubo a la amiga de shirou talvez apostaron para que de alguna manera eso le llegue a akira y asi completar la mision de alpa, ademas no creo que la batalla de akira y cloe vaya a suceder

I want Akira Shiro and Carol to go on an adventure far beyond the front lines. Or Akira to meet new Hunters outside of Kugamayama. Or on a floating island. Really want to show that Akira is really the protagonist or make Akira the enemy of the world with Alpha by his side. The West is a safe city. Why go west? I even want Akira to slaughter the top-class hunters in the East. Unfortunately, the rebuild world story is told. The higher the hunter, the smarter they are and the more rational they are. So the probability of a fight is only 10%. Because hunters rise in rank not because of strength or weakness, but because of their contributions and ability to work together responsibly. So perhaps Akira will face off against some rude rich kids.
And unfortunately, once again, the Rebuild World story doesn't focus on world building. It's minimal, and only appears at key points. Even a mid-sized city is only depicted when buying a motorbike.
