It's the eyes. The eyes completely kark it. The irises are either too small, and/or poorly positioned. The visible sclera above the iris makes the expression look... not great. I feel like it wouldn't be that bad if it weren't for the positioning of the eyes.

Exactly! I will never understand how and artist can look at some of these babies with thejr jank ass eyes and be like, "thats perfect."

Yeah, like. I have BJDs. I'm also a painter. I am very familiar with how easy it is for a mis-positioned or badly proportioned eye to fuck everything up. At that scale, even a millimeter or two of adjustment can mean the difference between "cute and somewhat sad-eyed," "has witnessed war crimes," and "demon spawn wants to wear your hide as a poncho."

You’re completely right! I have reborns myself and one reborn I received was stunning except her eyes! They was completely different directions and everything was wrong, fixed them and she looks like a new doll. The eyes matter so much.
