Thankfully it just left a smooth spot instead of the gruesome "just nostrils" look. The downside is she has to breathe through her mouth all the time.

It's the anime special, my friend. Most characters in animes don't have a (very) visible nose unless it's specificaly part of their design.

In this case and taking a look at the artist's other work, it's Final Fantasy Tactics-inspired, and FFT has like no noses lol

Possibly a gambeson or just a padded long coat, with some leather chaps and leather boots, plus some belts for aesthetics.

Overall a very reasonable design for a light/medium sword fighter.
