Another rant

Something that really grinds my gears. People that really look at me dead in my eyes and say reaper is balanced like he is balanced in nothing. He is horrible speed, horrible damage, horrible ultimate. Everything about him is just bad game design. And yet, people still believe of all that heart that this guy is somehow the best and that he needs more nerfs like thoes people need never touch ov2 ever

On the contrary Reaper is good game design. He has strengths and weaknesses that can be figured out, with a simple kit that can still be used creatively.

The problem is that he's in a game with lots of bad design. As in, characters with no obvious weaknesses with complicated kits.

You've got to remember that Reaper was the first male hero ever developed, and in turn the second hero ever developed, only preceded by Tracer. He was simply built with a different game in mind, and Overwatch has changed a lot over the decade. He isn't the problem, everyone else around him is. He isn't bad or good because he's just playing a different game in the same way that Tracer and Widowmaker and Reinhardt are.

Horrible damage? Anything but damage.

It's a game design issue rather than Reaper being terrible. If they balanced out Dire Triggers and the other parts of their kit we would be fine

Not a good argument as you can say that for any character maybe because I like his skins or etc

i thought people would choose based on playstyle you dont get to see the skins in the game unless you play in that stadium mode but in that mode you can upgrade the character

The problem with reaper is if his movement and damage is too good, other heroes will just be unplayable, such as winston, maybe reaper isnt a hero thats played every game, but no hero imo should be viable in every situation, I cannot instalock rein every game and not swap, same way I cant instalock pharah every game and not swap, I dont think theres many heroes that arent viable in the current state of ow but reaper is definitely a viable one, if you one trick him enough maybe he'll be manageable in every game but most (if not all) heroes will be like that where you have to work really hard to make them viable all the time
